How To Make This Card
Project Skill Level: Worker Bee
Worker Bee projects are designed for the crafter who has a bit more time and enjoys creating a handmade card that features a technique or tool. In many cases, a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine is required for die-cutting and/or embossing.
Cardstock Measurements:
- Very Vanilla Cardstock: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4”
- Old Olive Cardstock: 3” x 5-1/2”
- Crushed Curry CardstocK: 1-3/4” x 5”
- Copper Clay Cardstock: 1/2” x 3-1/4”
- Very Vanilla Cardstock: 3-1/4” x 4”
- Very Vanilla Cardstock: 1-1/2” x 2”

Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Fold the 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” piece of Very Vanilla cardstock in half at the 4-1/4” score line.
- Run the Old Olive and Crushed Curry cardstocks through the Cut & Emboss Machine and emboss using 2 different folders from the Basics Embossing Folders. Adhere to the front of the card as shown in the sample.
- Stamp the dogwood image onto a 3-1/4” x 4” piece of Very Vanilla cardstock using Copper Clay ink. Stamp the detailed stripe image 2 times using the same ink, off-setting image as shown in the sample. Color in the image using Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Watercolor Pencils. Adhere to the center of the card.
- Stamp the polka dot image onto the Copper Clay strip using Copper Clay ink. Adhere to the card as shown in the sample.
- Stamp the dragonfly onto the 1-1/2” strip of Very Vanilla using Old Olive ink; fussy cut it out with scissors and adhere to the card using a Stampin’ Dimensional to finish.
A Tip from Barb
I purposely kept the coloring simple on this card due to all the other steps that you’ll need to take to create this card. If you prefer a more robust, blended look on your flowers, you can either pull the color from the Watercolor Pencils using a Wink of Stella Glitter Brush (it won’t run your ink) or replace the Watercolor Pencils with Stampin’ Blends. The choice is yours!
