For today’s card, I paired it with the beautiful Softly Stipple Designer Paper for a soft earthy feel, and then used soft shades of gray to give it an additional touch of elegance. How To Make This Card

Project Skill Level: Busy Bee

Busy Bee projects are designed for the beginner or busy papercrafter. This is a basic cardmaking project that can be achieved by someone who has never made a handmade card before. You can view more Busy Bee cards here.

Cardstock Measurements:

  • Petal Pink Cardstock:  5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4”
  • Basic White Cardstock:  4” x 5-1/4”
  • Smoky Slate Cardstock:  2-1/4” x 5-1/2”
  • Softly Stippled Sale-A-Bration Designer Paper:  2” x 5-1/2”
  • Smoky Slate Cardstock:  2-1/2” x 2-1/2”
  • Basic White Cardstock:  2-1/4” x 2-1/4”

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1.  Fold the 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” piece of Petal Pink cardstock in half at the score line to create your card base.
  2. Adhere the 4” x 5-1/4” piece of Basic White cardstock inside the card.
  3. Adhere the strip of Softly Stippled Designer Paper to the strip of Smoky Slate cardstock; adhere to card on left side.
  4. Using the 2-1/4” square piece of Basic White cardstock, stamp the dogwood buds image two times using Basic Gray ink.
  5. Color in the buds using the Dark Petal Pink Blend marker.
  6. Adhere to the Smoky Slate cardstock.
  7. Cut 2 pieces of 3-1/2” Petal Pink Ribbon from the Duo Combo Pack.  Adhere both pieces to the bottom of the card, about 1” up from the bottom; adhere the Smoky Slate cardstock over the ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals to finish.
