3 Cards using the Merry Mischief Bundle

Who says elves get to have all the Christmas fun? Today I’m sharing 3 Cards using the Merry Mischief Bundle from Stampin’ Up!®, featuring some mischievous little gnomes who are ready to spread a little holiday cheer!

And because this is Step It Up Stamping, we’re starting with a simple Christmas card and adding a few festive touches as we go. But here’s the fun part: even our Queen Bee card is easy to make! No complicated techniques or fancy folds required.

3 Cards using the Merry Mischief Bundle featuring three handmade gnome Christmas cards with woodgrain paper, holiday greetings, festive twine, gifts, and Christmas lights.

There’s something about these little gnomes that makes me smile. Maybe it’s their silly hats, their playful personalities, or the fact that they look like they’re having entirely too much fun getting ready for Christmas!

For today’s cards, I’ve paired the bundle with the Alpine Winter Designer Series Paper. Its rustic woodgrain and cozy winter patterns provide a wonderful backdrop for these whimsical characters.

And I especially love that the gnomes bring so much personality to the cards without needing lots of extra decorations.

For these cards, I chose Peaceful Pine, Pool Party, and Cherry Cobbler. Cherry Cobbler brings that traditional Christmas red we all know and love, while Peaceful Pine adds a rich evergreen color that feels right at home during the holidays. But Pool Party is what makes this combination especially fun!

Its soft blue adds a cool, wintry touch that balances the deeper red and green. Together, these colors feel festive without being too bright or overwhelming. The Alpine Winter Designer Series Paper ties everything together with its rustic patterns and cozy winter feel. I particularly like how the woodgrain design gives those playful gnomes a warm, homespun setting.

It’s a color combination that works beautifully for Christmas cards, especially when you want something cheerful with a little rustic charm.

One of my favorite things about Step It Up Stamping is showing how you can start with a basic card design and build on it using supplies you may already have.

You don’t need to be an experienced cardmaker to enjoy these projects. Whether you prefer the straightforward Busy Bee card or want to add a few more details with the Queen Bee version, there’s something here for everyone.

I can already picture one of these cards arriving in someone’s mailbox. Maybe it’s for a friend who loves gnomes, a neighbor who could use a smile, or a family member who appreciates a little silliness during the holidays. And wouldn’t it be fun to tuck a handwritten note inside telling someone how much they mean to you?

Christmas cards don’t have to be elaborate to make someone feel special. Sometimes a cheerful little gnome and a few heartfelt words are all it takes. So whether you’re a Busy Bee, Worker Bee, or Queen Bee cardmaker, I hope these cards inspire you to spread a little Christmas cheer this season.
