Butterfly Card using Perennial Lavender Paper
Make this handmade Butterfly Card using Perennial Lavender Paper by Stampin’ Up! The hand-painted designs were inspired by fields of wild lavender and the wildflowers that grow right alongside it. Use these lovely papers as a background image or die-cut pieces to use as an accent for your card-making projects.
I’ve paired up this paper with one of the laser-cut Paper Butterfly Accents coming January 4, 2024 in the Stampin’ Up! January-April Occasions Catalog. I love that they come in a White base color so that you can add whatever color you like using your favorite Stampin’ Up! coloring technique. You’ll get 40 pieces, 8 each of 5 sizes, for just $8. Make sure you put this item on your Wish List so that you can purchase it on January 4, 2024!

Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Fold the Basic White cardstock at the score line and burnish well with your Bone Folder.
- Using the scraps of Perennial Lavender paper, punch out 6 different patterns using the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch.
- Using the Black Memento ink, stamp the sentiment from the Softly Sophisticated Stamp Set onto one of the punched pieces.
- Adhere the 6 different punched pieces to the 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of gingham Perennial Lavender paper. Use scissors to cut the pieces of the punch that hang over the gingham paper.
- Adhere the gingham Perennial Lavender paper to the front of the card.
- To finish, use small pieces of your Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere one of the Paper Butterflies to the front of your card as shown in the sample. If desired, add Wink of Stella to the Butterfly for a bit of sparkle.
