I love quick and easy cards and this one definitely meets that criteria! I started with the gorgeous New Horizons Designer Paper and then layered it on a mat of coordinating cardstock and layered that on a neutral card base. Bam! Super easy!
Before layering the Designer Paper onto the card, I did a bit of stamping using the On The Horizon Stamp Set. I added some trees in the horizon, some birds flying in the distance, and a few marshy grasses at the bottom of the paper. All subtle stamping but it created more of a nature scene and that’s what I was going for!
Here’s exactly how I made this card:
Project Measurements
- Very Vanilla: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4” and 1/2” x 2-1/2”
- Mossy Meadow: 4” x 5-1/2” and 3/4” x 2-3/4”
- New Horizons Paper: 3-3/4” x 5-1/2”
Project Instructions
1. Fold the Very Vanilla cardstock in half at the score line to create your base card.
2. Using the Old Olive ink pad, stamp the trees 2 times along the ‘horizon’ on the New Horizons mat.
3. Stamp the birds as desired above the horizon using Black Memento ink.
4. Stamp the grass 2-3 times in the lower left corner using Black Memento ink.
5. Adhere the New Horizons mat to the Mossy Meadow mat and adhere to the base card.
6. Using the 1/2” strip of Very Vanilla cardstock, stamp the sentiment using Black Memento ink.
7. Adhere the sentiment strip to the Mossy Meadow cardstock and adhere to the base card using Stampin’ Dimensionals to finish.
