Lovely and Sweet Bundle by Stampin Up
The Lovely and Sweet Bundle by Stampin Up is perfect for making an elegant handmade card. Whether it’s a birthday, thank you, or just because, the Lovely and Sweet Bundle has you covered. This bundle’s versatility shines through its detailed plant motifs and thoughtful sentiments, perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, or just because.
Since I wanted to create a card that would cater to any event, mood, or message, I chose a unique palette, using Early Espresso, Crumb Cake and Petal Pink. I then threw in a touch of Granny Apple Green for a pop of color. Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Fold the Basic White Cardstock in half at the scoreline to create your base card.
- Adhere the Petal Pink cardstock to the front of the card.
- Ink the rectangle word stamp using Granny Apple Green ink. Stamp off once on your scratch paper and then stamp on the upper left corner the 3-3/4” x 5” piece of Basic White cardstock. Repeat in the lower right corner.
- Ink up the “lace” image using Granny Apple Green ink, stamp off two times on your scratch paper, and then stamp above, and then below the upper left image from Step #3 without reinking. Repeat in the lower right corner.
- Stamp the sentiment on the Crumb Cake cardstock using the Black Memento ink pad and adhere in the upper right corner. Adhere the White cardstock to the front of the card.
- Stamp the large flower onto the 4” square of Basic White cardstock using Black Memento ink. Color in the leaves using the Granny Apple Green Blends, the petals using the Petal Pink Blends, and the “pods” using the Deep Combo Blends.
- Fussy cut out the flower using scissors (or the Lovely & Sweet dies if you have them.)
- Adhere the cut-out flower in the lower left corner using Stampin’ Dimensionals as shown in the sample.
- Adhere 3 of the Iridescent Foil Gems around the flower as desired to finish.
A Tip from Barb
This is an elegant card to make for all sorts of occasions. If you don’t have the Blends, you can use Watercolor Pencils, Stampin’ Write Markers, or any other coloring tool you prefer. And while it may take a bit to fussy cut out that flower, it’s so worth it! Give it a try and let me know what you think of your end result!
