Let’s delve into the world of sophisticated card-making and transform a simple hello into an unforgettable gesture.
Two-step stamp sets are my favorite type of Stampin’ Up! stamp sets. The two-step stamping process allows you to layer images using different stamps from the set. It’s like building an image piece by piece. You might use one stamp to stamp leaves in one ink, and then another stamp and ink color to stamp a flower. When you put it all together, you get one detailed picture that looks like it pops off the page! This gives your project more color and detail than you’d get using just one stamp. Try two-step stamping to add more life and color to your papercrafting projects!
How To Make This Card

Worker Bee projects are designed for the crafter who has a bit more time and enjoys creating a handmade card that features a technique or tool. In many cases, a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine is required for die-cutting and/or embossing.

Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Fold the Lemon Lolly cardstock in half at the score line and burnish well with your Bone Folder.
- Adhere the 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock inside the card.
- Run the 2 pieces of Old Olive cardstock through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine and emboss using the Softly Sophisticated Embossing Folder.
- Adhere the Old Olive cardstock to the front of the card base, staggering the cardstock as shown in the sample. (Tip: the bottom piece is 1/4″ from the left side and the top piece is 3/4″ over from the left side. There is approximately 1/2″ between the 2 pieces.)
- Using the 2-1/4″ x 3-1/2″ piece of Basic White Cardstock, Stamp the leaves in Old Olive ink. Ink up the floral stamp using Daffodil Delight ink and line up flowers and stamp onto the leaves image. Tip: I found it easy to line up using the small bud as my guide.
- Adhere the white cardstock to the card base as shown in the sample.
- Using the 5/8″ strip of Lemon Lolly, stamp the sentiment using Black Memento Ink.
- Adhere the sentiment strip to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals to finish.
A Tip from Barb
This card is so easy to make! I classified this as a Worker Bee card only because of the Embossing Folder used on the Old Olive cardstock pieces. This card will still look beautiful without using that embossing folder and it would be a very easy card to make multiples of!😊
