Fun Fold Thoughtful Expressions Card

This elegant Fun Fold Thoughtful Expressions Card was created using the Thoughtful Expressions Bundle by Stampin’ Up! This Bundle will quickly become your go-to Bundle for creating cards that genuinely speak from the heart. With it’s beautiful sentiments and gorgeous artistic images, plus the coordinating dies, this bundle will inspire you to add a personalized touch to your handmade cards.

For this card, I went with a very simple paper from the Poetic Expressions Designer Paper and then paired that with a bright color combination. If you’d prefer to more subtle color palette, make sure you check out my Color Combination Library.

From the delicate details of the hummingbird and flowers to the stylish die-cut frames, every element of this bundle works together to elevate your card-making. 1. Score the Calypso Coral Cardstock at 1-1/4”, 3-3/8”, 7-5/8” and 9-3/4”.  Fold in (Valley Fold) at 3-3/8” and 7-5/8” score lines, and fold out (Mountain Fold) at 1-4/” and 9-3/4” score lines.
2. Adhere the 4” x 5-1/4” piece of Basic White cardstock inside the card.
3. Adhere the 1” pieces of Poetic Expressions Paper on the outside flaps and the 1-3/4” pieces of Poetic Expressions Paper on the inside flaps.
4. To create your belly band, score one end of the 1” x 9” Calypso Coral cardstock at 2-3/8”.  Place the left side of the card at the score line and fold around the card, adhering together at the front of the card.  Make sure you burnish well for crip fold lines.
5. Fun the 4” and 3-1/2” pieces of Calypso Coral and Basic White cardstock through the Cut & Emboss Machine and cut out the dies from the Thoughtful Expressions Bundle dies.
6. Stamp the sentiment at the top of the White die-cut using Black Memento ink.  Stamp the flowers below the sentiment using the same ink. 
7. Color in flowers/leaves using the Calypso Coral and Lemon Lime Twist Blends.  Adhere the White die-cut to the Calypso Coral Die-cut and adhere to the Belly Band using Adhesive.
8. To finish, add several of the Brass Butterfly as desired.
