If you love making Christmas cards with a little extra detail, this Elegant Christmas Card Using the Pretty Poinsettia Bundle might be right up your alley! Between the layered poinsettia, the cozy plaid background, and that sweet holiday greeting, there’s plenty to enjoy without making the design feel too busy.
The first thing that catches your eye is that gorgeous layered poinsettia. Instead of the traditional red Christmas flower, I used Soft Sea Foam for a softer look that really stands out against the darker greenery.
The Pretty Poinsettia Bundle is wonderful for adding dimension to your Christmas cards. Those overlapping petals create depth, while the detailed leaves help frame the flower and give it a more finished appearance.
I especially love how the poinsettia becomes the focal point without needing a whole lot of extra decoration. Sometimes one beautifully layered element is all a card needs!

october ordering Bonus
A Bonus for You!
Any order you place in October includes a free 10-project tutorial featuring the Neutral Noel Suite that you can use with any Bundle in your stamp stash.
It’s filled with cozy, step-by-step card ideas to spark your creativity when your order arrives — so you’re not staring at supplies wondering where to start.
The plaid patterned paper gives this card a cozy, almost old-fashioned Christmas feeling. It reminds me of warm blankets, Christmas gatherings, and those little traditions we look forward to every December.
And because the poinsettia has so much detail, the plaid makes a lovely background without competing with the flower.
I also like how the white space around the greeting gives your eye a place to rest. With a dimensional flower and patterned paper in the same design, that little bit of breathing room makes a difference.

For this card, I paired Soft Sea Foam, Peaceful Pine, and Cherry Cobbler.
Soft Sea Foam brings a light, almost frosty feeling to the poinsettia, while Peaceful Pine adds the rich greenery we associate with Christmas. Cherry Cobbler brings in that familiar holiday warmth through the plaid background.
What makes this combination work so well is the contrast. The lighter flower stands out against the deeper colors, and the red and green still give the card that traditional Christmas feeling. It’s a nice reminder that Christmas flowers don’t always have to be red!

Notes
This isn’t necessarily a beginner Christmas card, but it’s a wonderful project when you’re in the mood to slow down and enjoy the creative process. Layering the poinsettia petals, arranging the greenery, and putting the finishing touches on the card are all part of the fun.
And the finished card feels like something special, especially for someone on your Christmas card list who appreciates handmade details.
I can picture this card going to someone who loves traditional Christmas decorations, maybe a dear friend who puts up her Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving or a family member who treasures handmade cards.
And that’s the best part of making Christmas cards, isn’t it? Thinking about the person who will open the envelope and knowing you made something just for them.
