Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Fold the 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” piece of Very Vanilla cardstock in half at the 4-1/4” score line.
  2. Run the Old Olive and Crushed Curry cardstocks through the Cut & Emboss Machine and emboss using 2 different folders from the Basics Embossing Folders.  Adhere to the front of the card as shown in the sample.
  3. Stamp the dogwood image onto a 3-1/4” x 4” piece of Very Vanilla cardstock using Copper Clay ink.  Stamp the detailed stripe image 2 times using the same ink, off-setting image as shown in the sample.   Color in the image using Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Watercolor Pencils.  Adhere to the center of the card.
  4. Stamp the polka dot image onto the Copper Clay strip using Copper Clay ink.   Adhere to the card as shown in the sample.
  5. Stamp the dragonfly onto the 1-1/2” strip of Very Vanilla using Old Olive ink; fussy cut it out with scissors and adhere to the card using a Stampin’ Dimensional to finish.

A Tip from Barb

I purposely kept the coloring simple on this card due to all the other steps that you’ll need to take to create this card. If you prefer a more robust, blended look on your flowers, you can either pull the color from the Watercolor Pencils using a Wink of Stella Glitter Brush (it won’t run your ink) or replace the Watercolor Pencils with Stampin’ Blends. The choice is yours!
