How To Make This Card
Project Skill Level: Busy Bee
Busy Bee projects are designed for the beginner or busy papercrafter. This is a basic cardmaking project that can be achieved by someone who has never made a handmade card before. You can view more Busy Bee cards here.
Cardstock Measurements:
- Basic Gray Cardstock: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″
- Basic White Cardstock: 4″ x 5-1/4″
- Take to the Skies Designer Paper (Pattern 1): 2″ x 4″
- Take to the Skies Designer Paper (Pattern 2): 3-1/4″ x 4″
- Basic Gray Cardstock: 2-3/4″ x 3″
- Basic White Cardstock: 2-1/2″ x 2-3/4″
- Copper Clay Cardstock: 3/4″ x 1-3/4″

Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Fold the Basic Gray cardstock in half at the scoreline to create your card base.
- Adhere the 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock inside your card.
- Adhere the Take to the Skies Pattern 1 paper to the bottom of the card, leaving a 1/8″ border at the sides and bottom.
- Adhere the Take to the Skies Pattern 2 paper to the top of the card, leaving a 1/8″ border at the top and sides.
- Stamp the image onto the 2-1/2″ x 2-3/4″ Basic White cardstock using Black Memento ink. Color in the images using the Copper Clay BLends on the man and the Night of Navy Blends on the little bow. Using the Medium Blends to color in the skin. If desired, use the Light Copper Clay Blend to color in the sand/dirt.
- Adhere the White cardstock to the Basic Gray cardstock and adhere to the right side of the card as shown in the sample.
- Using the 3/4″ strip of Copper Clay cardstock, stamp the sentiment onto the strip using Black Memento ink. Using your scissors, flag notch the left side of the strip.
- Adhere the sentiment strip to the left side of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals to finish.

Just grab 2-3 colors from the paper you want to use and pull your coordinating cardstock, inks and any embellishments you’d like!
