How To Make This Card

Project Skill Level: Worker Bee

Worker Bee projects are designed for the crafter who has a bit more time and enjoys creating a handmade card that features a technique or tool. In many cases, a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine is required for die-cutting and/or embossing.

  • Basic White Cardstock: 4″ x 5-1/4″
  • Thoughtful Journey Paper: 4″ x 5-1/4″
  • Fresh Freesia Cardstock: 1/2″ x 1-1/4″
  • Basic White Cardstock: 2″ x 4″ (for die-cutting)

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Fold the Fresh Freesia cardstock in half at the scoreline to create your card base.
  2. Adhere the 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock inside the card.
  3. Adhere the Thoughtful Journey Designer Paper to the front of your card.
  4. Using the 2″ x 4″ piece of Basic White cardstock, stamp the seals onto the cardstock using the Black Memento ink pad.
  5. Color in the seals using the Smoky Slate Blends. Color in the seal tongue & nose using the Light Pretty in Pink Blend.
  6. Run the White cardstock through the Cut & Emboss Machine using the seal die from the Hearts & Hugs Bundle Dies. Adhere to the bottom left of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  7. Using the 1/2″ strip of Fresh Freesia cardstock, stamp the “thanks” sentiment using the Black Memento ink pad. Using your scissors, “flag notch” the left side and adhere to the right side of the Thoughtful Journey paper so that it’s slightly above the seals.

A Tip from Barb

This is actually a super simple card, but I classified it as a Worker Bee card because of the Hearts & Hugs Bundle dies used to cut out the seals. If you don’t have a Cut & Emboss Machine, simply cut out out the Seals with scissors – it’s actually pretty simple!
