If you’re looking for a soft and simple card idea, this Natures Symphony Stamp Set – Easy Torn Edge Card is such a lovely place to start. Using Stampin’ Up!® products, this design combines gentle colors, repeat stamping, and a relaxed torn paper edge to create a card that feels both elegant and completely doable—even for beginners.

There’s something really special about a card that doesn’t feel fussy but still looks beautiful when it’s finished. This design is perfect for those moments when you want to sit down, create something meaningful, and not overthink every little detail.

One of the reasons this card is such a great choice—especially if you’re newer to stamping—is the repeat stamping. Instead of trying to place one perfect image, you’re building a layered look with leafy images from the Natures Symphony Stamp Set. That takes the pressure off and actually makes the final result look more natural and organic. If things aren’t perfectly lined up, it just adds to the charm.

It’s filled with cozy, step-by-step card ideas to spark your creativity when your order arrives — so you’re not staring at supplies wondering where to start.

Another beginner-friendly element is that torn paper edge on the Basic White layer. There’s no measuring or precision cutting required—just tear and go. It adds texture, softness, and a little bit of visual interest that makes the card feel more finished without adding complexity. It’s one of those simple techniques that really delivers a big impact.

A design choice that really makes this card stand out is the layering of colors behind the stamped panel. That thin border of Bubble Bath peeking out adds just enough contrast to keep everything from blending together, while still keeping the overall look soft and cohesive.

The soft combination of Lost Lagoon, Soft Sea Foam, and Bubble Bath gives the whole card a calm, peaceful feel that works for just about any occasion. The twine bow at the top is another thoughtful touch. It draws your eye upward and adds a bit of dimension without overwhelming the design. It’s simple, but it balances the card beautifully.

And finally, the sentiment strip—“I like you lots”—is understated and sweet. By keeping it small and slightly raised, it doesn’t compete with the stamped background but instead complements it perfectly.

Supplies Needed

  • Lost Lagoon Cardstock: 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" (scored at 4-1/4" for card base)
  • Basic White Cardstock: 4" x 5-1/4" (inside card)
  • Bubble Bath Cardstock: 3-3/4" x 5-1/4"
  • Basic White Cardstock: 3-3/4" x 5"
  • Soft Sea Foam Cardstock: 5/8" x 2-1/4" (sentiment strip)

Instructions

  • Fold the Lost Lagoon cardstock in half at the score line to create your card base.
  • Adhere the 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White cardstock inside the card base. Decorate as desired.
  • Adhere the Bubble Bath cardstock to the front of the card, leaving a 1/8" border at the top and left & right sides.
  • Using the 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White cardstock, stamp the branch in Lost Lagoon ink as shown in the sample, move the stamp slightly to the left and stamp again without reinking. Repeat process to the right of the first stamped branch.
  • Using Soft Sea Foam ink, stamp the background stamp around the leaves to fill in the white space.
  • Tear the bottom of the Basic White cardstock just below the stamped leaves. Adhere to the front of the card lining up the top of the cardstock with the top of the Bubble Bath cardstock.
  • Cut 18" of White Baker's Twine. Fold in half and tie into a large bow. Adhere to the front of the card as shown in the sample, trimming ends as desired.
  • Stamp the sentiment onto the Soft Sea Foam cardstock using Lost Lagoon ink. Adhere to the front of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Add the White Moody Palette Dots as desired to the front of the card to finish.
