Sparkly Christmas Card with Decorative Trees Bundle

Share this:

Create a sparkly Christmas Card with Decorative Trees Bundle by Stampin’ Up! This bundle offers endless possibilities for layering die-cut Christmas trees and mixing fun textures. For this project, I used glitter paper to give the card extra festive sparkle. Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or new to card making, this card will bring a festive shine to your holiday season!

To make this card stand out even more, I added some of the fun Full of Life Designer Paper. This paper adds such fun colors and reminds of those metal Christmas Trees from the 1960 that had a color wheel that changed the color of the tree. Do you remember those?

You can also experiment with different colors of glitter paper to match your holiday color palette. This color palette features Berry Burst, Petunia Pop, and Coastal Cabana, but you could always use another color combination for a more traditional feel. Make sure you check out my Color Combination Library for more inspiration!

For finishing touches, stamp a festive sentiment like “Season’s Greetings” or “Merry Christmas” inside the card, using coordinating ink colors. This not only ties the entire design together but adds that personal, handmade touch that makes your holiday card truly special. With just a few supplies and a little creativity, you’ll have a shimmering card that’s ready to brighten anyone’s holiday season!

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Fold the 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” Basic White Cardstock in half at the score line to create the card base.
  2. Adhere the Full of Life Paper to the Petunia Pop Cardstock and adhere to the front of the card as shown in the sample.
  3. Stamp the sentiment just below the Petunia Pop cardstock, on the right side, using Petunia Pop ink. (See sample for placement.)
  4. Run the 3″ x 4″ piece of Basic White cardstock through the Cut & Emboss Machine and cut out the large tree from the Decorative Trees Bundle dies.  Adhere to the card, just to the left of the stamped sentiment. (See sample.)
  5. Run the Petunia Pop Glimmer Paper through the Cut & Emboss Machine and cut out the “skinny trunk” and the 3 Christmas Ornaments.
  6. Place these 4 die-cuts upside down on the Silicone Mat.
  7. Add a small amount of glue to the mat, pick the glue up using a sponge dauber and pounce on the mat to remove some of the adhesive.  Pounce the dauber with glue onto the backside of the dies gently, covering them with a light layer of glue.
  8. Working quickly, add the die-cuts the white tree to finish.
