I’ll show you how to whip up quick handmade cards that look anything but rushed.

Today, I’m thrilled to share a perfect solution for busy women who want to infuse a bit of creativity into their hectic schedules. I’ll show you how to whip up quick and elegant handmade cards that look anything but rushed. This card uses Card Sketch 15, which is showcased in our Stampin’ Up! 2024-2025 Annual Catalog on page 22. How To Make This Card

Project Skill Level: Busy Bee

Busy Bee projects are designed for the beginner or busy papercrafter. This is a basic cardmaking project that can be achieved by someone who has never made a handmade card before. You can view more Busy Bee cards here.

Cardstock Measurements:

  • Basic White Cardstock: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, score at 4-1/4”
  • Basic White Cardstock: 4″ x 5-1/4″
  • Summer Splash In Color Paper:  4” x 4”
  • Basic White Cardstock:  1/2” x 2-1/4”

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Fold the Basic White Cardstock in half at the scoreline to create your card base.
  2. Run the 4” x 5-1/4” piece of Basic White cardstock through the Cut & Emboss Machine using the Dashing Designs 3D Embossing Folder.  Adhere to the front of the card.
  3. Run the Summer Splash paper through the Cut & Emboss Machine and die-cut using the 3-1/4” circle from the Spotlight on Natures Dies.  Adhere to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  4. Using the Paper Snips Scissors, “flag notch” both ends.  Using the Summer Splash ink pad, stamp the sentiment onto the left side of the strip. 
  5. Adhere the sentiment strip to the circle, using adhesive on the left side and a Stampin’ Dimensionals on the right side.
  6. Tie the Flirty Flamingo Baker’s Twine into a bow and adhere to the sentiment strip using a Mini-Glue Dot to finish.
