Today, I’m thrilled to share a perfect solution for busy women who want to infuse a bit of creativity into their hectic schedules. I’ll show you how to whip up quick and elegant handmade cards that look anything but rushed. This card uses Card Sketch 9, which is showcased in our Stampin’ Up! 2024-2025 Annual Catalog on page 22. (View our digital catalog here.)
To make this birthday card even easier to create, I used the beautiful Winter Meadow Designer Paper in pretty blue and green foliage. The gentle floral images added to the elegance of the card and then I just finished it out with a sentiment from the Simply Said Stamp Set. Let me show you how easy it is to create this birthday card!

Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Fold The Azure Afternoon cardstock in half at the score line.
- Adhere the 4” x 5-1/4” piece of Basic White cardstock inside the card.
- Take 3 different patterns and line up at the bottom of the card, leaving a 1/4″ border on the bottom and on the right. Adhere the second pattern, overlapping the first pattern and moving slightly to the left. Add the last pattern, overlapping the previous piece and moving slightly to the left so that there’s a 1/4″ border on the left.
- Repeat this process 2 more times, overlapping all the strips of paper. Tip: this doesn’t have to be perfect, just eyeball it and have fun!
- Stamp the sentiment onto the 3″ square of Basic White cardstock using Azure Afternoon ink.
- Punch out the sentiment using the 2″ Circle Punch and adhere on the card as desired.
