Today, I’m thrilled to share a perfect solution for busy women who want to infuse a bit of creativity into their hectic schedules. I’ll show you how to whip up quick and elegant birthday cards that look anything but rushed.

This card uses Card Sketch 2, which is showcased in our Stampin’ Up! 2024-2025 Annual Catalog on page 22. (View our digital catalog here.)

To make this Happy Birthday card even easier to create, I used the To Market Designer Paper and pulled the colors for my card from the paper. This created a clean and elegant design.

To finish off the card, I used one of the sentiments from the versatile Simply Said Stamp Set and added some Peach Pie ribbon to add an elegant finishing touch.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Fold the Garden Green cardstock in half at the score line to create your base card.
  2. Adhere the 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock inside your card.
  3. Adhere the To Market floral designer paper to the front of your card.
  4. Using the Garden Green ink pad, stamp the sentiment in the center of the 1″ strip of Basic White cardstock. Using scissors, cut each end “in” as shown in the sample.
  5. Cut 12″ of the Peach ribbon and fold into a “z” pattern. Adhere to the center of the card as shown in the sample.
  6. To finish, adhere the sentiment strip from Step #4 over the center of the ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A Tip from Barb

This is the perfect card sketch for whenever you have some pretty paper you’d like to use! Just grab 2-3 colors from the paper you want to use and pull your coordinating cardstock, inks and any embellishments you’d like!

If you have any issues adhering the ribbon to the card, I find folding it into 3 equal folds to make your “z” pattern, and then adhere to the card with a bit of scotch tape works great – just make sure the scotch tape is less than an inch long so that it’s hidden by the sentiment strip!😊
