For this card, I wanted to color scheme that would highlight the adorable turtle image so I went with Soft Sea Foam, Lost Lagoon, and then added a splash of color by using Fresh Freesia. If you’d prefer a different color palette, make sure you check out my Color Combination Library.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Score the 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock at 2″, 3″, 5-1/2″, and 6-1/2″. Fold in (valley fold) at 2″ and 6-1/2″, fold out (mountain fold) at 3″ and 5-1/2″. This will make the middle panel “pop out”.
  2. Adhere the two 1-3/4″ pieces of Masterfully Made Paper to the 2 outside panels. Adhere the 2″ piece of Masterfully Made Paper to the center panel.
  3. Using the Basic White cardstock, stamp the turtle image from the Playing in the Rain Stamp set onto the left side of the cardstock using Black Memento ink. Stamp the sentiment from the Charming Sentiments stamp set on the right side using the same ink.
  4. Color in the Turtle body using the Dark Soft Sea Foam Blend. Color in the rest of the turtle using the Lost Lagoon Blends.
  5. Adhere the White cardstock to the Fresh Freesia cardstock and adhere to the front panel of the card. Make sure you only apply adhesive to the center panel!
  6. To finish, add one of the Fresh Freesia Tinsel Gems to the center of the flower.
  7. Note: if you want a place to write on your card, adhere a 1-3/4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock to the center panel on the back of the card.
