Today, I’m thrilled to share a perfect solution for busy women who want to infuse a bit of creativity into their hectic schedules. I’ll show you how to whip up quick and elegant handmade cards that look anything but rushed. This card uses Card Sketch 14, which is showcased in our Stampin’ Up! 2024-2025 Annual Catalog on page 22. (View our digital catalog here.)

Card Sketch 14

To make this Thank You card even easier to create, I used the gorgeous Thoughtful Journey Designer Paper and pulled the colors for my card from the paper. This created a clean and elegant design, with a pop of color for the sentiment. If you’d like a softer color combination, make sure you check out my Color Combination Library, you’re sure to find something you’d like!

  2. Adhere the 4″ x 5-1/4″ Basic White cardstock inside the card.
  3. Adhere the 4” x 5-1/4” piece of Thoughtful Journey Paper to the front of the card.  Adhere the 3” x 4-3/4” piece of Thoughtful Journey Paper to the center of the card front.
  4. Stamp the sentiment onto the 1/2” strip of Thoughtful Journey Paper using Mossy Meadow ink.  Flag notch both ends using scissors.
  5. Adhere the sentiment strip to the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  6. To finish, add 2 of the bird embellishments as desired onto the card.

A Tip from Barb

This is a fun card sketch that can be altered in many different ways. If the Designer Paper you’re using doesn’t have a “neutral” pattern for the sentiment, simply use White or Vanilla cardstock. Easy Peasy!
