Short on time but love to craft? Make this 5 Minute Birthday Card using Card Sketch 34. If you’re anything like me, your days are packed but your love for crafting never wanes. Today, I’m thrilled to share a perfect solution for busy women who want to infuse a bit of creativity into their hectic schedules. I’ll show you how to whip up quick note cards that look anything but rushed.

To make this Birthday card even easier to create, I used the fabulous Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper, which is perfect paper for all genders. It provided the color combination of Basic Basic, Cajun Craze, and Pumpkin Pie. These colors pair beautifully together and created a clean and elegant design. The geometic images added to the elegance of the card and then I just finished it out with a sentiment from the Simply Said Stamp Set. Let me show you how easy it is to create this handmade card!
How To Make This Card
Project Skill Level: Busy Bee
Busy Bee projects are designed for the beginner or busy papercrafter. This is a basic cardmaking project that can be achieved by someone who has never made a handmade card before. You can view more Busy Bee cards here.
Cardstock Measurements:
- Basic Beige Cardstock: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4”
- Cajun Craze Cardstock: 3-1/4” x 5-1/4”
- Timeless Plaid Paper: 1” x 3” (4 pieces)
- Basic Beige Cardstock: 1/2” x 2-3/4”

Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Fold the Basic Beige cardstock in half at the score line to create your card base.
- Adhere the Cajun Craze Cardstock to the center of the card front.
- Using scissors, “banner notch” both ends of all 4 pieces of the Timeless Plaid Paper, as well as the 1/2” strip of Basic Beige cardstock.
- Stamp the sentiment onto the Basic Basic sentiment strip using Cajun Craze ink. Adhere to the center of the card.
- Adhere the Timeless Plaid banners onto the Cajun Craze cardstock as shown in the sample.
- Tie a bow using the Cajun Craze Natural Tones Linen Thread and adhere to card as shown in the sample to finish.
