Creating a Greetings of the Season Tag Card is a beautiful way to spread holiday cheer and showcase your crafting skills. The Greetings of the Season Bundle by Stampin’ Up!, featuring both the stamp set and coordinating dies, provides all the tools you need to craft this beautiful card.

Greetings of the Season Tag Card in white and reds, with an embossed background and oval tag with "love & joy" sentiment.

The Greetings of the Seasons Bundle offers a variety of sentiments, but for this card, we’ll focus on the heartfelt “Love & Joy” sentiment. The combination of cursive and sans serif fonts gives the card a modern yet timeless feel, perfect for any holiday celebration. Paired with the coordinating dies, you can create stunning tags, labels, and banners to add dimension and interest to your design.

To start, choose a color palette that evokes the warmth and joy of the holiday season. Traditional colors like red and green are always a great choice, but adding gold or silver accents can elevate your design. I wanted to keep this color combination simple so I went with two shades of red, Cherry Cobbler and Real Red. Using the coordinating dies to cut out the tag, also creates a beautifully crisp and clean focal point for your card.

Creating handmade holiday cards with a focus on tags is a wonderful way to show your loved ones you care. The Greetings of the Season Bundle makes it easy to craft stunning, personalized cards that will be cherished for years to come. So gather your supplies, get creative, and start spreading “Love & Joy” this holiday season. Happy crafting!

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Fold the Basic White cardstock in half at the score line to create your card base.
  2. Run the 4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Basic White cardstock through the Cut & Emboss Machine using the Distressed Tile Embossing Folder. Adhere to the front of the card.
  3. Using the 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Basic White cardstock, run through the Cut & Emboss Machine and cut out the 2-1/4″ stitched Oval from the Bundle Dies making sure to cut from one end of the cardstock. Set aside.
  4. Using the 8 pieces of 1/2″ x 3-1/2″ strips of Real Red and Cherry Cobbler cardstocks, layer onto the remainder of the Basic White cardstock from the previous step, alternating each color. Run through the Cut & Emboss Machine and cut out the large tag using the Bundle dies.
  5. Run the Real Red/Cherry Cobbler tag through the Cut & Emboss Machine again using the Distressed Tile Embossing Folder. Cut 2″ of the White Frayed Ribbon, thru through the tag opening (hole) and tie together using a piece of Baker’s Twine. (See sample.) Adhere to the front of the card at an angle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  6. Using the die-cut oval from Step #3, stamp the sentiment using the Real Red ink pad. Adhere to the front of the card using adhesive on the left side and a Stampin’ Dimensional on the right side.
  7. Finish by adding an Open Round on each end of the sentiment tag as shown in the sample.
