One of my favorite ways to stretch my stamping supplies is by looking at them with fresh eyes, and today’s project is a wonderful example of that. This easy All-Occasion Card with the Stitched Stockings Stamp Set shows how a stamp set designed with Christmas in mind can easily become the star of a cheerful everyday card. With a few colorful stamped images arranged into a playful pinwheel, you’ll discover that seasonal products can offer creative possibilities long after the holidays are over. It’s a fun reminder that sometimes all it takes is a different layout and a fresh color palette to completely transform a stamp set.
The focal point of this card is the colorful pinwheel created by stamping the same image several times and arranging the pieces into a simple circular design. Repeating one stamped image creates wonderful movement across the card while keeping the project clean and uncluttered. It’s an easy technique that delivers a polished look without requiring complicated layers or specialty tools, making it a great project for stampers who enjoy clean, graphic designs.

JULY ordering Bonus
A Bonus for You!
Any order you place in July includes a free 10-project tutorial featuring the Velvet Meadow Suite that you can use with any Bundle in your stamp stash.
It’s filled with cozy, step-by-step card ideas to spark your creativity when your order arrives — so you’re not staring at supplies wondering where to start.
One of the things I love most about this project is how it encourages you to get more value from the supplies you already own. It’s easy to tuck holiday stamp sets away once the season is over, but many of those images can be completely reimagined with different colors and layouts. By thinking beyond the original purpose of a stamp set, you’ll often discover new favorite designs that can be used throughout the year for birthdays, congratulations, thank-you cards, friendship cards, and so much more.
Another thing I appreciate about this layout is how easy it is to customize. Try changing the sentiment to match the occasion, swap in different color combinations for the seasons, or experiment with other stamp images that have a similar shape. Once you’ve created the basic pinwheel arrangement, you’ll find yourself reaching for this layout again and again because it’s both versatile and fun to make.

The color combination helps bring this design to life. Soft Sea Foam creates a soft, calming background that allows the brighter stamped images to take center stage. Highland Heather and Balmy Blue add cool, fresh tones that balance beautifully with the rich pop of Berry Burst. Together, these colors create a cheerful palette that’s bright enough to celebrate a special occasion while remaining soft enough for everyday cards. The finished design feels fresh, modern, and full of personality without becoming overwhelming.
How To Make This Card
You’ll find the full supply list and step-by-step instructions below.

Easy All-Occasion Card with the Stitched Stockings Stamp Set
Supplies Needed
- Soft Sea Foam Cardstock: 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" (scored at 4-1/4")
- Basic White Cardstock: 4" x 5-1/4" (inside card)
- Highland Heather Cardstock: 3" x 3"
- Basic White Cardstock: 2-3/4" x 2-3/4"
Instructions
- Fold the Soft Sea Foam cardstock at the score line to create your card base.
- Adhere the 4" x 5-1/4" Basic White cardstock inside your card; decorate as desired.
- Using the triangle image from the stamp set, ink the stamp using Soft Sea Foam ink and stamp in the center of the 2-3/4" Basic White cardstock as shown in the sample. Ink the stamp again and stamp again, directly across from the first Soft Sea Foam triangle. Tip: if you find it hard to line up, take a ruler to measure where the center of the 2-3/4" square is and make a small pencil mark. You can cover this mark up later with the Shimmering Dot Embellishment.
- Clean the triangle stamp and repeat the steps above using each of the remaining ink colors, stamping each color to the right of the first one.
- Adhere the Basic White cardstock to the Highland Heather cardstock and adhere to the front of the card, about 1/2" down from the top of the card.
- Stamp the sentiment below the Highland Heather cardstock using Berry Burst ink.
- Add one of the Shimmering Dots in the center of the pinwheel to finish.
