A handmade thank you card is one of those projects that is always worth having on hand. There are so many people who make our days a little easier, brighter, or kinder, and sending a card gives us a simple way to acknowledge them. The Flowering Meadow Stamp Set works beautifully for this because the cheerful floral images feel warm and thoughtful without being overly formal. You can send this card to a friend, neighbor, coworker, or anyone who deserves to know their kindness was noticed.
One of the best things about this design is that the stamping does most of the work. The two-step stamping technique lets you build the flowers with layered images, adding detail and interest without coloring each bloom by hand. Misty Moonlight gives the flowers a soft blue look, while Old Olive creates the stems and leafy background. It’s an easy technique to practice, and the result looks much more detailed than the effort involved.

The Misty Moonlight, Old Olive, and Basic White color combination is one of my favorite parts of this card. Misty Moonlight feels calm and classic, while Old Olive adds an earthy green that works naturally with the floral images. Basic White keeps the whole design feeling fresh and gives both colors plenty of room to shine. It’s a versatile combination that works especially well for thank you cards, friendship cards, and other everyday occasions.
The layout is also very forgiving for a newer stamper. Instead of worrying about placing the focal panel perfectly straight, it’s intentionally set at an angle. That little creative choice gives the card personality and makes the design feel relaxed.
How To Make This Card
You’ll find the full supply list and step-by-step instructions below.

Simple Thank You Card with the Flowering Meadow Stamp Set
Supplies Needed
- Misty Moonlight Cardstock: 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored at 4-1/4"
- Basic White Cardstock: 4" x 5-1/4" (inside card mat)
- Old Olive Cardstock: 4" x 5-1/4"
- Basic White Cardstock: 3-3/4" x 5"
- Misty Moonlight Cardstock: 2-1/2" x 3-1/4"
- Basic White Cardstock: 2-1/4" x 3"
- Old Olive Cardstock: 3/4" x 4"
Instructions
- Fold the Misty Moonlight Cardstock in half at the score line to create your card base.
- Adhere the 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White cardstock inside the card and decorate as desired.
- Using the 2 leaf/stem images, stamp across the card as shown in the sample using Old Olive ink. Flip the stamp and repeat, stamping below the first line of stems. (Tip: if you find it too difficult to use both stamps, just use one. Don't worry about the space between the top and bottom images as you'll be covering that area up with the 3/4" strip of Old Olive Cardstock.)
- Wrap 6" of the Misty Moonlight 1/4" Checkered Ribbon around the 3/4" strip of Old Olive cardstock; secure to the back of the cardstock. Adhere this to the front of the card, covering up the seam between the stamped images.
- Ink up the double-floral image using Misty Moonlight ink; tap off once on your scratch paper, then stamp onto the top of the 2-1/4" x 3" Basic White cardstock.
- Stamp the double-stem image onto the stamped flowers using Old Olive ink.
- Ink up the double pistil image using Misty Moonlight ink and stamp into the center of the flowers.
- Stamp the "thanks" in the lower left corner of the cardstock using Old Olive ink. Adhere the Basic White cardstock to the 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock. Adhere to the front of the card at an angle using Stampin' Dimensionals.
- To finish, add the Dewdrop Embellishments as desired.
Notes
A few finishing details give this simple floral handmade card an extra touch without making it fussy. The gingham ribbon adds a bit of pattern and texture across the card, while the dark embellishments echo the Misty Moonlight layers and help guide your eye around the design. These small additions show how easy it is to start with simple stamping and then add just a little more when you want your card to feel extra special.
I hope this card encourages you to pull out your stamps and make a thank you card for someone who has made a difference in your day. The Flowering Meadow Stamp Set makes it easy to create something fresh and cheerful, and two-step stamping is such a fun way to build confidence as you craft. Make the card, write a few heartfelt words inside, and send it to someone who would love a little happy mail.
