For this card, I used Crumb Cake and Real Red Stampin’ Blends to color our sweet little koala and his candy cane. You don’t need to be an expert at coloring, either! A little color is all it takes to make him look ready for Christmas.
And if you’re new to Stampin’ Blends, this is a great project for practicing. Just relax, enjoy the process, and remember that handmade doesn’t have to mean perfect.
Let the Christmas Colors Do the Work
I chose a classic Christmas combination of Real Red, Crumb Cake, and Basic White. Real Red brings that cheerful holiday feeling, especially in the candy cane and the A Stitched Season Designer Series Paper. Crumb Cake adds a softer, warmer touch to our little koala, while Basic White keeps everything looking fresh and clean.
The combination works because the bold red catches your eye while the softer neutral balances the design. And those candy canes in the background? They’re just the right finishing touch without needing lots of extra embellishments.

How to Make an Easy Christmas Card with the Joyful Friends Stamp Set
Supplies Needed
- Basic White Cardstock: 5-1/2' x 8-1/2" (scored at 4-1/4")
- A Stitched Season Designer Paper: 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" (candy cane pattern)
- Basic White Cardstock: 1/2" x 3-3/4" (sentiment)
- Basic White Cardstock: 2" scrap (for Koala Bear image)
Instructions
- Fold the 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” Basic White cardstock in half at the scoreline to create your card base.
- Adhere the A Stitched Season Designer Series Paper to the front of the card.
- Stamp the sentiment onto the center of the 1/2" strip of Basic White cardstock using Black ink. Use scissors to banner notch both ends of the cardstock and adhere to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.
- Stamp the Koala Bear onto the 2" scrap of Basic White cardstock. Color in using the Stampin' Blends. Add Wink of Stella to the candy cane.
- Fussy cut out the image using Detail Scissors and adhere onto the sentiment banner using Stampin' Dimensionals to finish.
