Today, I’m thrilled to share a perfect solution for busy women who want to infuse a bit of creativity into their hectic schedules. This card uses Holiday Card Sketch #12, which is showcased in our Stampin’ Up! 2024 Holiday Mini-Catalog on page 16. (View our digital catalog here.)

To make this Thank You card even easier to create, I used the gorgeous Nests of Winter Designer Paper and pulled the colors for my card from the paper. This created a clean and elegant design, with a pop of Early Espresso ink for the sentiment. If you prefer a softer or brighter design, make sure you check out my Color Combination Library.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Fold the Gray Granite cardstock in half at the score line to create your card base.
  2. Adhere the 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock inside the card.
  3. Using your Paper Snips scissors, but the 2 top corners of the Copper Clay cardstock so that it resembles a Tag.
  4. Adhere the 2-1/4” x 3” neutral Nests of Winter Paper to the Copper Clay tag, 1/4” up from the bottom.
  5. Using the Early Espresso ink pad, stamp the sentiment at the bottom of the Nests of Winter paper, centering at the bottom.
  6. Using your Paper Snips scissors, “flag notch” the bottom only of the 2-1/2” x 3” Nests of Winter trees and adhere to the center of the Copper Clay cardstock.
  7. Adhere the Copper Clay tag to the base card.  Cut 16” of the Ribbon, tie into a bow and adhere to top of tag using a Glue Dot to finish.

A Tip from Barb

This is a fun card sketch that can be altered in many different ways. If the Designer Paper you’re using doesn’t have a “neutral” pattern, just leave it off. This design works best if you can use two complimentary colors from the paper, but if that doesn’t work, simply use neutral cardstock and change the ink color to another color pulled from the paper!
