Today, I’m thrilled to share a perfect solution for busy women who want to infuse a bit of creativity into their hectic schedules. This card uses Card Sketch 10, which is showcased in our 2025 Stampin’ Up! January-April Mini-Catalog on page 12. (View our digital catalog here.)

To make this Thank You card even easier to create, I used the fun Friends of the Ocean Designer Paper and pulled the colors for my card from the paper. This created a clean and vivid color combination of Summer Splash, Pumpkin Pie, and Melon Mambo. If you’d like a softer color combination, make sure you check out my Color Combination Library, where you’re sure to find a color palette you’ll love!

Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Fold the Summer Splash Cardstock in half at the score line to create your card base.
- Adhere the 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock inside the card.
- Run the 4” x 5-1/4” Summer Splash cardstock through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using the Soft Waves Embossing Folder; adhere to front of the card.
- Using the 3” x 6” piece of Friends of the Ocean paper, punch out 3 circles using the 1-3/4” circle punch. Adhere to the card as shown in the sample. From the 2nd piece of Friends of the Ocean paper, fussy cut out the lobster using the Paper Snips. Adhere to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Stamp the sentiment onto the 1/2” strip of Basic White cardstock using Lemon Lime Twist ink; adhere to the card, just under the lobster, using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A Tip from Barb
This is a fun card sketch that can be altered in many different ways. If the Designer Paper you’re using doesn’t have a “neutral” pattern, just leave it off. This design works best if you can use two Color Buddies from the paper, but if that doesn’t work, simply use White cardstock for the sentiment strip and change the ink color to another color pulled from the paper!
