How To Make This Card
Project Skill Level: Worker Bee
Worker Bee projects are designed for the crafter who has a bit more time and enjoys creating a handmade card that features a technique or tool. In many cases, a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine is required for die-cutting and/or embossing.
Cardstock Measurements:
- Petal Pink: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″
- Basic White Cardstock: 4” x 5-1/4”
- Petal Pink Cardstock: 4” x 5-1/4”
- Nature’s Sweetness Specialty Paper: 1” x 4”
- Basic White Cardstock: 4” x 4” (for die-cutting)

Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Fold the Petal Pink cardstock in half at the score line to create your card base.
- Adhere the 4” x 5-1/4” piece of Basic White cardstock inside the card.
- Run the 4” x 5-1/4” piece of Petal Pink Cardstock through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using the Dashing Designs 3D Embossing Folder; adhere to the front of the card.
- Using the 1” strip of Nature’s Sweetness Specialty Paper, run through the Cut & Emboss Machine and die-cut the small label die on the left side of the Paper, about 1/4” over from the left edge. Repeat on the right side. Adhere the Specialty Paper to the center of the card.
- Using the 4” square of Basic White cardstock, die-cut the small sentiment strip in the bottom right corner. Stamp the sentiment onto the die-cut label using Petal Pink ink & set aside.
- Using the remaining Basic White cardstock, stamp the large butterfly using Pebbled Path ink. Run through the Cut & Emboss Machine and die-cut using the large bold Butterfly Die.
- Stamp the small “wing” stamps on both the left & right of the die-cut Butterfly using Petal Pink ink. Adhere the sentiment tag from Step #5 onto the center of the Butterfly using adhesive.
- Adhere the die-cut Butterfly to the center of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals to finish.
A Tip from Barb
If you don’t have a Cut & Emboss Machine, no worries! Simply cut out the Butterfly with your scissors and on the background, crumple the Petal Pink cardstock in your hands until completely crumpled, flatten out, and glue onto your base card. Easy Peasy!
