Handmade Seaside Wishes Thank You Card

For this card, I went with a masculine color combination as I was making this card for a special friend who loves the beach. I used the Basic Beige and Crumb Cake neutrals and then added a pop of color with Calypso Coral. How To Make This Card
Project Skill Level: Busy Bee
Busy Bee projects are designed for the beginner or busy papercrafter. This is a basic cardmaking project that can be achieved by someone who has never made a handmade card before. You can view more Busy Bee cards here.
Cardstock Measurements:
- Basic Beige Cardstock: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″
- Crumb Cake Cardstock: 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″
- Basic Beige Cardstock: 1″ x 2-3/4″
- Calypso Coral Cardstock: 3/4″ x 3-3/4″

Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Fold the Basic Beige Cardstock in half at the score line to create your card base.
- Using the large sand dollar image, stamp 3 times in different areas of the Crumb Cake cardstock using Barely Beige ink. Repeat using the small sand dollar and same ink, filling in the empty areas.
- Ink up the small starfish using Calypso Coral ink, stamp off once onto your scratch paper, and stamp onto the Crumb Cake cardstock. Repeat randomly 2 more times.
- Adhere the Crumb Cake cardstock to the center of the card base.
- Cut a 10″ piece of the Basic Beige Bordered Ribbon and fold into a “z” zigzag fold. Adhere to the card front as shown in the sample. Trim edges as necessary with scissors.
- Using the Calypso Coral ink pad, stamp the sentiment onto the 3/4″ Calypso Coral strip. “Flag notch” the right side of the strip only using scissors.
- Adhere to the 1″ strip of Basic Beige cardstock and then adhere over the center of the Ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals to finish.
A Tip from Barb
This card is super simple and can be done in any Color Combination! If you’d like to look at some other options, make sure you check out my Color Combination Library.
If you find it difficult to secure the ribbon, create the “z” pattern and then tape to the back of the 1″ Basic Beige strip using scotch tape.
