Coffee and a Card with the Beautiful Motifs Bundle
If you’re looking for a handmade all-occasion card that’s elegant and yet beginner-friendly, you’re in the right place. This Coffee and a Card with the Beautiful Motifs Bundle is the perfect example of how a few simple elements can come together to create a card that feels quietly stunning. This layout is clean and uncluttered—but there’s something about the soft texture of the patterned squares and the intricate floral silhouette that just makes it feel special.
And can we talk about that sentiment? “You’ve been on my mind” might be one of the most versatile phrases in our stash. It’s gentle enough for sympathy, thoughtful enough for a friend going through a hard time, and warm enough for just-because.
This is the exact card we made during this week’s Coffee & a Card—our casual midweek craft break on Facebook where we chat, sip on our favorite beverage, and make something wonderful. I chose a palette of Basic Beige, Cloud Cover, and Pretty Peacock—and I have to say, it might be one of my favorite unexpected combos!
The softness of Cloud Cover balances out the richness of the patterned paper, and everything pops just enough against that neutral backdrop. The layout is simple: three 1-1/4″ squares of Designer Series Paper stacked along the left side, topped with the tall Cloud Cover floral die. A stamped sentiment in Pretty Peacock anchors the design on the lower right. That’s it. No embellishments, no extra tools—just clean lines and thoughtful touches.
This kind of card reminds me why I love stamping. You don’t need to overcomplicate things to make something meaningful. Whether you’re brand new to cardmaking or have a whole craft room of supplies, this card is doable—and more importantly, it’s sendable.

A Tip from Barb
I wanted to keep this project as simple as possible, but if you’d like to make quick work of the 3 squares of Designer Series Paper, you can use the 1-1/2″ square from the Stylish Shapes dies. Quick, easy and adds an elegant touch of stitching around the squares!
