How To Make This Card

Project Skill Level: Worker Bee

Worker Bee projects are designed for the crafter who has a bit more time and enjoys creating a handmade card that features a technique or tool. In many cases, a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine is required for die-cutting and/or embossing.

  • Highland Heather Cardstock: 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Fold the Basic White cardstock in half to create your card base.
  2. Using the 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ piece of Basic White cardstock, stamp the single flower and leaves on the left side of the cardstock using Lemon Lime Twist ink. (See sample for placement.)
  3. Adhere the Basic White cardstock to the 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ piece of Highland Heather cardstock. Cut about 20″ of White Baker’s Twine around the Highland Heather cardstock and tie into a bow on the right side. Adhere to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  4. Run the 2-1/2″ square of Highland Heather cardstock through the Cut & Emboss Machine and die-cut using the floral heart die from the Hearts of Elegance Bundle Dies. Adhere the heart onto the center of the cardstock, overlapping the Baker’s Twine, using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  5. Using the 5/8″ strip of Basic White cardstock, stamp the sentiment using Lemon Lime Twist ink and adhere as shown in the sample using Stampin’ Dimensionals to finish.

A Tip from Barb

Although this card is super simple and doesn’t use very many supplies, it does require a die-cutting machine and the Hearts of Elegance dies. For that reason, I’ve classified this card as a Worker Bee card – but it sure is a quick and easy one! 😄
