Thoughtful Wishes Thank You Card
Express your gratitude with this beautiful Thoughtful Wishes Thank You card. It uses the versatile Thoughtful Wishes Stamp Stamp Set and is perfect for making many different types of all-occasion greeting cards.
The story of how this card came together is actually kinda funny! I needed a thank you card in a hurry and I had a bunch of things on my stamp table that were left over from cards that didn’t work. So I decided I’d try to pull them all together into 1 card and I’m really happy how it turned out!
First, I had a half sheet of Basic White cardstock that was already embossed with the Fern 3D Embossing Folder, so that because the card base for my Thank You card. I decided that meant I needed some floral elements and since the Thoughtful Wishes stamp set was already on my desk, I went with that.
Next up was the sentiment. I had already cut out a sentiment tag for another project and had stamped “thanks” in Pretty Peacock, so that began my color combination. The person I was sending the Thank You card to loves rich, regal colors so the Pretty Peacock was perfect. I decided to combine it with Blackberry Bliss and Boho Blue inks and my card was almost done! (If you prefer lighter colors, make sure you check out my Color Combination LIbrary for lots of color inspiration.)
And finally, I had some leftover Pretty Peacock & Gold Ribbon from another project and so that was added to the card. See, sometimes it does pay to not clean up your stamp room!😀

Worker Bee projects are designed for the crafter who has a bit more time and enjoys creating a handmade card that features a technique or tool. In many cases, a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine is required for die-cutting and/or embossing.

Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Fold the Basic White cardstock in half at the score line. Unfold and run through the Cut & Emboss Machine using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder on the front of the card. Refold card to use as your card base.
- Using the 3-1/2″ x 5″ piece of Basic White cardstock, stamp the bold flower stem 2 times using Blackberry Bliss ink. Leave about 1″ of space between the 2 images.
- Using the Pretty Peacock ink pad, stamp the larger outline leaf stem 3-4 times, reinking the stamp each time. Make sure you vary the height and angle a bit to add interest.
- Ink up the “splatter” stamp using Boho Blue ink, stamp off on your scratch paper, and then stamp onto the card. Repeat, filling in any “white space” around the leaf images. Adhere the White cardstock to the middle of the card base.
- Stamp the sentiment from the My Small Business Stamp Set using Pretty Peacock ink onto the 1″ scrap of Basic White cardstock. Note: as I mentioned above, I already had this do but you can also use one of the sentiments from the Thoughtful Wishes Stamp set.
- Run the sentiment through the Cut & Emboss Machine and cut out using the sentiment label die from the Unbounded Love dies.
- Cut 3″ of ribbon, cut each end at an angle if desired, and adhere to the back of the sentiment label. Adhere to the card front as desired using Stampin’ Dimensionals to finish.
A Tip from Barb
I classified this card as a Worker Bee card, mainly because of all the dies and supplies used. To simplify this card, use a sentiment out of the Thoughtful Wishes dies and cut the sentiment strip with your Paper Trimmer rather than die-cutting it. In this case, the sentiment strip would be cut at 5/8″ x 2-1/4″. Easy Peasy!
