In keeping with the outdoor nature scene I wanted to create on this card, I went with a traditional color palette of Crumb Cake, Mossy Meadow and Pretty Peacock. If you’re prefer some a bit less traditional, make sure you check out my Color Combination Library which will have many alternative color combinations for you.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Fold the Very Vanilla cardstock in half at the scoreline to create your card base.
  2. Adhere the Pretty Peacock cardstock to the Mossy Meadow cardstock and adhere to the center of the card front.
  3. Using the 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, ink up the smaller rectangle background stamp from the Oceanfront stamp set using Mossy Meadow ink and stamp at the bottom of the cardstock. Clean the stamp thoroughly and reink the stamp using the Azure Afternoon ink pad. Tap off most of the ink by stamping twice on your scratch sheet, then stamp at the top of the cardstock. Clean stamp.
  4. Using the larger angled background stamp, ink the stamp using Mossy Meadow ink and stamp in the center so that it overlaps both previously stamped images.
  5. Using the “grass” stamp and Mossy Meadow ink, stamp onto the front of the card ash shown in the sample. Adhere the Vanilla cardstock to the center of the card front.
  6. Using the Crumb Cake ink pad, stamp the sentiment onto the 1/2″ strip of Very Vanilla cardstock. Adhere to the upper left of the card as shown in the sample using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  7. Stamp the owl from the Wildlife Wonder stamp set onto the 2″ square of Very Vanilla cardstock using Crumb Cake ink. Run through the Cut & Emboss Machine and die-cut using the 1-3/4″ circle die from the Stylish Shapes dies.
  8. Adhere the owl to the lower portion of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals to finish.
