Today, I’m thrilled to share a perfect solution for busy women who want to infuse a bit of creativity into their hectic schedules. This card uses Card Sketch 17, which is showcased in our Stampin’ Up! 2024-2025 Annual Catalog on page 22. (View our digital catalog here.)

To make this thank you card even easier to create, I used the fabulous Take To The Sky Designer Paper and pulled the colors for my card from the paper. This created a clean and elegant design, perfect for a masculine card, although it would work for any gender. If you prefer a softer combination, make sure you check out my Color Combination Library for more ideas.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Fold the Gray Granite Cardstock in half at the scoreline to create your card base.
  2. Adhere the 4” x 5-1/4” piece of Basic White cardstock inside the card.
  3. Adhere the 3 pieces of 1” x 4-3/4” plaid Take To The Sky Designer paper.  Tip:  adhere the first strip in the center of the card front, then adhere the 2 other strips on either side of that first strip.
  4. Using the 2-3/4” x 3-1/2” airplane Take To The Sky Designer Paper, stamp the sentiment in any of the white space using Misty Moonlight ink.
  5. Adhere the stamped paper onto the center of the card using adhesive to finish.

A Tip from Barb

This is a fun card sketch that can be altered in many different ways. If the Designer Paper you’re using doesn’t have a “neutral” pattern where you can put your sentiment, simply add a sentiment tag. This design works best if you can pull the colors from your paper so that your focal point (in this case the airplane paper) really pops!
