Easy Card Layout using Pretty Paper and the Radiant Sunflowers Bundle

Need a card layout you can use again and again? This easy design lets pretty patterned paper do most of the work, while a simple greeting creates a strong focal point.

Supplies Needed

  • Lemon Lolly Cardstock: 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" (scored at 4-1/4")
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock: 4" x 5-1/4" (inside card)
  • Sunflower Fields Designer Paper: 2-1/4" x 4" (Leaf Design)
  • Sunflower Fields Designer Paper: 3/4" x 4-1/2" (Plaid Design)
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock: scrap - see note below (approx 2" x 2-3/4" for die-cutting)

Instructions

  • Fold the Lemon Lolly cardstock at the score line to create your card base.
  • Adhere the 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock inside your card; decorate as desired.
  • Using the large multi-floral stamp, stamp 3 times as shown on the sample using Cajun Craze ink. Note: it's ok if the floral image overlaps a bit in the center as it will be covered by the Designer Paper.
  • Using Scissors, do a "banner notch" at the end of the 2-1/4" x 4" Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper. Adhere to the front of the card as shown on the sample.
  • Using scissors, diagonal cut the bottom of the 3/4" x 4-1/2"strip of Sunflowers Fields Designer Series Paper. Tie some of the Mossy Meadow Jute around the top of the paper and tie into a knot; trim as desired. Adhere to the front of the card as shown on the sample using Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Run the scrap of Very Vanilla Cardstock through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and die-cut using the rectangle die from the Bundle. Stamp the sentiment using Secret Sea ink and the butterfly using Cajun Craze ink.
  • NOTE: If you do not have the dies or the Radiant Sunflower Dies, cut your Very Vanilla cardstock to 1-1/2" x 2-1/2"
  • Optional: pull in some of the color from the butterfly using the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush.
  • Adhere the sentiment to the front of the card as shown using Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • To finish, add 3 of the Secret Sea Radiant Gems as desired.

Notes

Worker Bee  (for Confident Cardmakers)
Worker Bee projects are designed for the crafter who has a bit more time and enjoys creating a handmade card that features a technique or tool. In many cases, a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine is required for die-cutting and/or embossing.
