Sometimes the best way to say “thank you” isn’t with words at all — it’s with a handmade card that captures the feeling perfectly. That’s exactly what I had in mind when creating this Thank You Card with the Just Me and You Stamp Set. This adorable image of two friends — one giving the other a push on a tricycle — is pure joy on paper. It’s a scene that instantly makes you smile and brings back memories of carefree afternoons, kindness, and laughter.
The Just Me and You Stamp Set is one of those sets that does all the heavy lifting for you. The sweet line art is full of personality, and it pairs beautifully with any color palette or patterned paper you choose. For this design, I decided to give the image center stage by keeping the layout simple and letting the colors and details do the talking.
Our color palette, featuring Berry Burst, Petunia Pop, and Balmy Blue, is cheerful and fresh without being overwhelming. It’s a combination that works beautifully for thank-you cards because it feels friendly, uplifting, and just a little playful. I paired it with the soft, dreamy patterns of the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper to create a background that hints at a gentle sunset or a watercolor sky. It adds instant depth without stealing the spotlight from the main image.
For coloring, I reached for my Stampin’ Blends in Mossy Meadow, Bronze & Ivory, Petunia Pop, Gray Granite, and Crumb Cake. These alcohol markers blend so smoothly that even if you’re new to coloring, you’ll feel like a pro in minutes. The Mossy Meadow and Gray Granite give just enough grounding to the design, while Petunia Pop and Berry Burst bring out the vibrant, joyful side of the image. The Bronze & Ivory markers are perfect for realistic skin tones, making the scene feel warm and relatable.
One of my favorite parts of this card is a small detail that pulls it all together — the Crumb Cake Baker’s Twine. It’s such a simple embellishment, but it adds that touch of texture and handmade charm that makes a card feel extra special. A small bow tucked near the sentiment helps lead the eye and gives the design a finished, intentional look.

The best part? This card is easy enough for a beginner to make but still satisfying for more experienced stampers. The layout is versatile, so you could easily swap in different patterned paper or change the sentiment for birthdays, thinking-of-you, or even encouragement cards. That’s one of the biggest reasons I love the Just Me and You Stamp Set — it’s endlessly adaptable for so many occasions, but it never loses its charm.
If you’ve been wanting to create a thank-you card that feels personal and heartfelt, this design is a great place to start. In just a few steps, you’ll go from a blank card base to a finished project that your recipient will treasure. Plus, it’s a wonderful excuse to spend a little time coloring — and who couldn’t use a little creative break in their day?

Step-By-Step Instructions
- Fold the Berry Burst cardstock in half at the scoreline to create the card base.
- Adhere the 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White cardstock inside the card base.
- Adhere the Thoughtful Journey Designer Paper to the front of the card base.
- Using the 2-1/4" x 3-1/2" piece of Basic White cardstock, stamp the images onto the cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Color in the images using the Stampin' Blends.
- TIP: use the Light Gray Granite Stampin' Blend to create shadows until the stamped images – this helps "anchor" the images to the cardstock.
- Adhere the 2" x 3-3/4" piece of Berry Burst cardstock about 1/2" to the left of the right side of the card, and about 1/2" up from the bottom of the card. Adhere the stamped Basic White cardstock onto the center of the Berry Burst cardstock, using Stampin' Dimensionals.
- Stamp the sentiment onto the 3/4" Petunia Pop cardstock using Tuxedo Black ink. Tie a large bow using the Crumb Cake Bakers Twine and adhere to the back of the Petunia Pop cardstock using a Stampin' Dimensional. Adhere to the front of the card, using Stampin' Dimensionals. Use the sample for placement.
