How To Make This Card

Project Skill Level: Worker Bee

Worker Bee projects are designed for the crafter who has a bit more time and enjoys creating a handmade card that features a technique or tool. In many cases, a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine is required for die-cutting and/or embossing.

Cardstock Measurements:

  • Basic White Cardstock: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″
  • Marbled Elegance Designer Paper: 4-1/4″ x 5″ (for die-cutting)
  • Basic White Cardstock: 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ (for die-cutting)

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Fold the Basic White cardstock in half at the score line to create your card base.
  2. Using the Real Red Ink Pad, stamp the “xoxo” stamp off the left side; reink, stamp, and continue this process until you’ve stamps all across the card. Repeat this process two more times both above and below your original line of stamping.
  3. Run the Marbled Elegance paper through the Cut & Emboss Machine using the large Heart Die from the Hearts of Elegance Bundle Dies. Adhere to the center of the using adhesive.
  4. Stamp the sentiment in the center of the 4-1/4″ square of Basic White cardstock using Real Red ink. Run through the Cut & Emboss Machine and die-cut the second largest heart die (with the stitching) from the Hearts of Elegance Bundle Dies, centering the stamped sentiment.
  5. Adhere the White die-cut heart to the center of the Marbled Elegance die-cut heart using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  6. To finish, tie a bow with the Gold Twisted Thread and adhere to the sentiment heart as desired.

A Tip from Barb

This is a super simple card but I rated it a “Worker Bee” card because of the need for the Dies. If you don’t have the Marbled Elegance Designer Paper, you can easily swap this out for Real Red cardstock.
