Easy Pretty Florals Thinking of You Card

Share this:

When you’re not sure what to say, a handmade “thinking of you” card says it all—and this easy Pretty Florals Thinking of You card does it with sunshine and style. This design is bursting with joyful color and texture, making it the kind of card that brightens someone’s day before they even open the envelope.

What I love most about this card is how simple it is to create, even if you’re brand new to stamping. The Pretty Florals Bundle makes it easy to build a whole garden of blooms without needing a green thumb—or a ton of supplies! Just a few inks, some cheerful paper, and the magic of stamping layers, and suddenly you’ve got a card that looks like it took hours (but totally didn’t).

I remember the first time I reached for the Pretty Florals stamps. I was having one of those “nothing in my stash feels right” kind of days—you know the ones. I needed a card that felt warm, happy, and encouraging, but not overly serious or sappy. Something that would make my friend smile and think, “She made this for me.” That’s when I remembered how much impact a simple field of flowers can have.

With this design, I played with a few happy hues and just let the stamping flow. The floral images layer beautifully, so even if your placement isn’t perfect, it still comes out looking effortless and lovely. Add in a little Old Olive ink for the greenery and some pretty paper from the Celebratory Sips Designer Series Paper , and boom—you’ve got a card that practically sings “you’re the absolute best.”

One of my favorite details is the stamped garden edge. I love how the mix of flower shapes gives it that “gathered bouquet” feel without needing to do any masking or fancy techniques. And because this stamp set is image-only, you can mix and match it with whatever sentiment fits the moment. I chose “You’re the Absolute Best” from the More Messages Stamp Set but it could just as easily work with “Thinking of You,” “Thanks a Bunch,” or even a birthday greeting.

If you’re someone who often feels overwhelmed by too many options, this card is a great reminder that simple stamping can be so satisfying. And if you’re always looking for ways to stamp with friends or whip up a few cards for happy mail, this layout makes that a breeze.

So whether you’re sending sunshine to a friend who’s having a rough week, reconnecting with someone you’ve been thinking about, or just want to pop a little color into someone’s mailbox, this Pretty Florals card is a beautiful way to say, “Hey—you matter.”

Keep reading for the exact steps, supplies, and tips so you can make one (or five!) of these yourself. 🌼

  2. Adhere the floral Celebratory Sips paper to the front of the card.
  3. Adhere the Old Olive Celebratory Sips paper to the front of the card.
  4. Using the 2-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock, stamp the open floral image using Daffodil Delight ink randomly onto the cardstock. (See sample for placement.) ink the bold stamp using Daffodil Delight ink, stamp off once on your scrap paper and then stamp inside the open floral image.
  5. Repeat the process above using the Timid Tiger ink. Finish by adding the stems under the flowers using Old Olive ink. Wrap the Lemon Lolly Baker’s Twine twice around the bottom of the stamped cardstock and tie into a bow on the left side. Adhere to the Old Olive paper using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  6. Stamp the sentiment onto the 2″ scrap of Basic White cardstock using Black Memento ink. Run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and die-cut using the More Messages Dies from the Bundle. Adhere to the card as shown in the sample using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A Tip from Barb

This is actually a very simple card – if you don’t have a Cut & Emboss Machine or the Dies, simply cut a rectangle that is 1/4″ large than your sentiment stamp on every side. Keep it simple!
And speaking of simple, this is the perfect card sketch for whenever you have some pretty paper you’d like to use! Just grab 2-3 colors from the paper you want to use and pull your coordinating cardstock, inks and any embellishments you’d like! An easy peasy card without any stress – I love when my pretty paper can do the heavy lifting on my cards!😊
