This card really shows how a few thoughtful elements can come together to create something special. The layout is clean and simple, but the layering gives it just enough interest to keep your eye moving across the design.
One of the standout features is the Splash of Sparkles Specialty Designer Series Paper. It’s like sunshine in paper form—light, playful, and just a little bit magical. The soft watercolor patterns paired with delicate shimmer add just the right amount of sparkle without overpowering the card. It’s a beautiful way to bring in color and texture with very little effort.
The adorable birds from the Cutest Crew Stamp Set are the perfect focal point. They were colored using Stampin’ Blends in Pretty in Pink, Timid Tiger, and Lemon Lime Twist, which makes it easy to achieve smooth, soft color. This is a great project if you’re just getting started with Blends because the images are simple and forgiving.
Because this is a beginner card, everything stays nice and manageable—no dies, no complicated techniques, just stamping, layering, and coloring. It’s a great reminder that you don’t need a lot of steps to create a card that feels bright, fun, and full of personality.
