This Coffee and a Card with the Pop-Up Petals Stamp Set feels like the perfect little creative breather this week. You know how December gets. The lists, the errands, the “oh shoot, I forgot to…” moments. Sitting down with a simple stamp set and some pretty paper feels like slipping into the calm part of the holiday season.

And the Pop-Up Petals Stamp Set is so easy to love. The flowers are soft and friendly, the Two-Step stamping makes you look fancy without trying, and it’s one of those sets that never tells you no. Pair it with a warm, rustic pattern from the retiring Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper, and suddenly your table looks like a cozy fall postcard. That’s the kind of quiet, happy crafting moment we all need right now.

This is the exact card we made during this week’s Coffee & a Card—our casual midweek craft break on Facebook where we chat, sip on our favorite beverage, and make something wonderful. And this card? It checks all the boxes: simple stamping that feels polished, soft Two-Step flowers you can stamp in any color combo you love, and that gorgeous Autumn Toile paper that adds instant “I planned this” energy even when your week says otherwise.

I kept this week’s project simple because December brains can only hold so much. The Pop-Up Petals flowers are stamped in two quick steps: outline first, filler second. The set gives you several styles and petal shapes, so you can mix and match without thinking too hard. That’s exactly what makes this set great for beginners and anyone who wants something easy but still polished.

The Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper adds all that warm fall charm. The prints have this vintage, toile-style elegance that pairs beautifully with simple stamping. And since it’s retiring soon, this is the perfect moment to use those last pieces before they disappear.

A sweet greeting finishes it off—nothing complicated, just a clean little sentiment that works for thank yous, thinking-of-you notes, and the “just sending a hug on cardstock” kind of messages we all need this month.

This color combo—Crushed Curry, Old Olive, and Early Espresso—gives the whole card a warm, grounded feel. Crushed Curry brings all the cheerful energy, Old Olive softens the flowers and leaves, and Early Espresso adds the depth that keeps everything from feeling too sweet. It’s a cozy trio that looks good in any season.

If you’re new to Two-Step Stamping, this card is a friendly place to start. The outlines give you a clean guide, and the filler images are designed to fit loosely inside, so you don’t have to line things up perfectly. A little wiggle is part of the charm. Once you try it, you’ll see why this technique is such a favorite for quick cards with lots of personality.

One thing I love about this layout is how simple it is to switch up. The bold strip of Designer Paper sets the tone, and the stamped tag adds all the personality. You can change the tag shape, tweak the colors, or swap the flowers for something else in the Pop-Up Petals set, and it still works beautifully.

It’s the kind of design you’ll find yourself reaching for again and again. If you like this card, make sure you watch a recap of the live video, as well as the written Tutorial, which has all of the measurements and step-by-step instructions.

A handmade friendship card with a bright golden-yellow background. A wide strip of dark brown patterned paper runs across the center. On top of it hangs a small white tag, tied at the top with light twine. The tag is stamped with a cluster of simple sunflower-style blooms colored in yellow with green leaves, a small yellow butterfly, and the greeting “Grateful for your friendship.” The look is warm, cheerful, and clean, with the flowers spilling slightly off the left edge of the tag.
