This is the card we made during this week’s Coffee & a Card—our casual midweek craft break on Facebook where we chat, sip on our favorite beverage, and make something wonderful. And this card? It checks all the boxes: it’s eye-catching without being complicated, makes great use of your designer paper stash, and has that wow factor that makes people say, “Wait… you made that?”
The highlight of this card is the fun fold layout, which looks complicated but is surprisingly beginner-friendly once you know the score lines. It’s the kind of fold that makes you feel like a paper engineer—and your recipient will love opening it to find a surprise inside!
We used the Charming Day Bundle from Stampin’ Up!® to add a fresh floral element on the front and inside panel. I used such a pretty color combination for the flower: Bubble Bath, Petunia Pop, and Soft Sea Foam.
And oh, that Florals in Bloom Designer Paper? It practically does the decorating for you! With its mix of pinks, purples, and blues, it adds whimsy without clashing with the main image.
This card comes together with some special tools—just your trimmer, a Cut & Emboss Machine, stamps, ink, and a few layers of paper—but feels like something extra special. The inside is roomy enough for a full sentiment or short message, and the fold gives it an interactive touch that sets it apart from a typical card front.
