If you love the soft, cozy feel of pastel colors, you’re going to adore this pretty pastel Christmas Card Idea for the Holidays. Using the Ornamental Christmas Bundle from Stampin’ Up!®, this design proves that Christmas cards don’t have to be all red and green to be festive!
This project uses the Whispers of Texture Specialty Paper, one of my favorite finds from the November 2025 Online Exclusive Products. It adds the perfect subtle detail — enough texture to make your design pop, without taking over the spotlight. I paired it with delicate Christmas trees cut using the Stampin’ Up! Cut & Emboss Machine and the Ornamental Christmas Dies, then finished each one with a sprinkle of the 2024–2026 In Color™ Flat Pearls. The result is a clean, elegant layout that feels calm, cheerful, and modern all at once.
If you’re looking for a quick project that still looks polished and professional, this one’s for you. The pastel palette and minimalist layout make it ideal for creating in batches — whether you’re making a few cards for family or a whole stack for coworkers.

And let’s talk about color!
This soft color combo might not scream “traditional Christmas,” but that’s exactly what makes it so special! Featuring Petunia Pop, Shy Shamrock, and Pretty in Pink, it delivers a fresh twist on holiday color that’s joyful without being over the top.
- Petunia Pop brings a pop of bright, playful pink for an unexpected modern vibe.
- Shy Shamrock adds just enough green to keep things festive.
- Pretty in Pink ties it all together with warmth and sweetness.

Together, these colors feel like holiday candy — soft, fun, and full of personality! If you’ve ever wanted to step outside the classic red-and-green box, this combo is the perfect place to start.
Cardmaking Tips
- Using the Whispers of Texture Specialty Paper as your focal point behind the trees adds a subtle pattern and elegance without needing extra ink or embossing.
- When die-cutting your trees, keep one in each color for a playful, balanced design.
- Add embellishments that match your ink colors for a cohesive look — the In Color™ Flat Pearls work perfectly!

Supplies Needed
- Basic White Cardstock: 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored at 4-1/4"
- Petunia Pop Cardstock: 3-1/4" x 5-1/2"
- Whispers of Texture Specialty Paper: 3" x 5-1/2"
- Basic White Cardstock: 3-1/2" x 5-1/2" (for die-cutting)
Instructions
- Fold the 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" piece cardstock in half at the score line to create the card base.
- Adhere the Whispers of Texture Specialty Paper onto the strip of Petunia Pop cardstock and adhere to the front of the card, about 1/4" down from the top fold.
- Stamp the sentiment at the bottom of the card using Petunia Pop ink.
- Using the 3-1/2" strip of Basic White cardstock, die-cut three of the Bold Tree die from the Ornamental Christmas dies. With the remaining scrap of Basic White cardstock, stamp the star using Petunia Pop ink and die-cut or cut out the star with scissors. Paint the star with the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush and set aside to dry.
- Using the die-cut trees, ink up the "rope" stamp using Pretty in Pink ink. Stamp onto one of the trees. Reink stamp and stamp again, repeating the process until the entire tree is covered. Clean the stamp and repeat with the Shy Shamrock ink and the Petunia Pop ink. Tip: I didn't stamp the rope stamp onto the tree trunk.
- Adhere one tree on the left side of the specialty paper and one tree on the right side – your choice of colors. Adhere the 3rd tree in the center using Stampin' Dimensionals.
- Add the die-cut star to the center tree using adhesive. To finish, add the opal gems, color of your choice, onto the center tree to finish.
