How To Make This Card
Project Skill Level: Worker Bee
Worker Bee projects are designed for the crafter who has a bit more time and enjoys creating a handmade card that features a technique or tool. In many cases, a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine is required for die-cutting and/or embossing.
Cardstock Measurements:
- Soft Sea Foam Cardstock: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″
- Basic White Cardstock: 4″ x 5-1/4″
- Calypso Coral Cardstock: 3-3/4″ x 5″
- Basic White Cardstock: 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″
- Soft Sea Foam Cardstock: 3″ x 3″ (for die-cutting)
- Basic White Cardstock: 3″ x 3″ (for die-cutting)

Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Fold the Soft Sea Foam Cardstock in half at the score line to create your card base.
- Adhere the 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock inside your card.
- Using the 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ piece of Basic White Cardstock, stap the hearts along the bottom using Soft Sea Foam ink, alternating one up, one down. (See sample for placement.) Repeat the process, stamp the hearts just above the bottom row, again using Soft Sea Foam ink and alternating up and down.
- Using the Black Memento ink pad, stamp the “love you” sentiment in the upper left corner.
- Adhere the Basic White cardstock to the Calypso Coral mat and adhere to the front of the card.
- Stamp the small leaves 3 times on the 3″ square of Soft Sea Foam cardstock using the Soft Sea Foam ink pad. Run through the Cut & Emboss Machine, cutting out each image using the Heart of Elegance dies. Set aside.
- Stamp the floral image two times using Calypso Coral ink. Run through the Cut & Emboss Machine using the floral die from the Hearts of Elegance Bundle Dies. Adhere one flower and 1 set of leves onto the card front using adhesive. Adhere the other flower and the leaves to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals to finish.
A Tip from Barb
This is actually a super simple card and if you didn’t use the dies, it would be a perfect Busy Bee card. Both the flowers and leaves could be fussy-cut out with a good pair of scissors, eliminating the need of the Dies and a die-cut machine. 😊
