Today, I’m thrilled to share a perfect solution for busy women who want to infuse a bit of creativity into their hectic schedules. This card uses Holiday Card Sketch 8, which is showcased in our Stampin’ Up! 2024 Holiday Mini-Catalog on page 16. (View our digital catalog here.)

To make this Thank You card even easier to create, I used the fun A Little Bit Festive Specialty Paper! This festive paper not only has 3 sheets of double-sided Christmas designs, it also has 3 sheets of die-cut Christmas Elements that you can use on card fronts and more. Use these elements as focal points on your cards, frame photos on scrapbook pages, and more!

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Fold the Soft Sea Foam cardstock in half at the score line to create the card base.
  2. Adhere the 4” x 5-1/4” piece of Basic White cardstock inside the card.
  3. Using scissors, ship off the top left & right corners of the 3” x 4-3/4” piece of A Little Bit Festive Paper to resemble a tag.
  4. Punch out your element of choice (I used the pinecone) and  adhere to the top left side of your tag.
  5. Using the 1/2” strip of Basic White cardstock, “flag notch” both ends using your scissors.  Stamp the sentiment in the center of the cardstock using Garden Green ink.
  6. Adhere the sentiment tag to the center of the card as shown in the sample.
  7. Adhere the tag to the front of the card using several Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  8. Tie about 12” of the White Ribbon into a bow and adhere to the top of the tag using adhesive to finish.

A Tip from Barb

This is a fun card sketch that can be altered in many different ways. If the Designer Paper you’re using doesn’t have a “neutral” pattern, just leave it off. This design works best if you can use two Color Buddies from the paper, but if that doesn’t work, simply use White cardstock for the sentiment strip and change the ink color to another color pulled from the paper!

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I hope you are inspired to create today, whether it is this simple and cute handmade card or another cardmaking project.  My goal is to help you carve out some creative joy!  If you’d like more detailed directions on how to make this card, feel free to email me.
