Today, I’m thrilled to share a perfect solution for busy women who want to infuse a bit of creativity into their hectic schedules. This card uses Holiday Card Sketch 7, which is showcased in our Stampin’ Up! 2024 Holiday Mini-Catalog on page 16. (View our digital catalog here.)

To make this Christmas card even easier to create, I used the whimsical and fun Reindeer Days Designer Paper and pulled the colors for my card from the paper. This created a clean and elegant design, with a pop of Black ink for the sentiment.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Fold the Basic White cardstock in half at the score line to create the base card.
  2. Using scissors, ship off the top left & right corners of the Pool Party cardstock to resemble a tag.
  3. Using the Reindeer Day Paper #2, punch out a 1-3/4” circle using the Punch.  Adhere to the top left side of the tag.
  4. Adhere the 2” x 3” piece of Reindeer Days #1 paper so that it overlaps the Bell Paper circle on the right side.
  5. Adhere the tag to the center of the card front.
  6. Using 18” of the Basic Beige Ribbon, tie into a bow and adhere to the top of the tag.
  7. Stamp the sentiment onto the 3/4” strip of Real Red cardstock using Black Memento ink.  Using scissors, “flag notch” both ends of the Real Red Cardstock.
  8. To finish, adhere the Real Red sentiment strip to the bottom of the Pool Party cardstock using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A Tip from Barb

This is a fun card sketch that can be altered in many different ways. If the Designer Paper you’re using doesn’t have a “neutral” pattern, just leave it off. This design works best if you can use two Color Buddies from the paper, but if that doesn’t work, simply use White cardstock for the sentiment strip and change the ink color to another color pulled from the paper!

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I hope you are inspired to create today, whether it is this simple and cute handmade card or another cardmaking project.  My goal is to help you carve out some creative joy!  If you’d like more detailed directions on how to make this card, feel free to email me.
