Easy Thank You Card

Beautiful Bunch Stamp Set by Stampin Up | DIY Thank You Greeting Card | Barb Brimhall @ bzbstamper.com

One of the cards I find I need the most are Thank You cards – so it helps if they’re fast and easy!

This card fits that bill as it makes great use of punches, Designer Paper and a single layout.  It also uses one of my all-time favorite color combinations – Soft Sky & Sahara Sand!

The base card is 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, folded in half to create a normal A-2 size card. (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″.)    Then I took a 2″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Timeless Elegance Designer Paper (yum!) and layered it at the bottom of a 4″ x 5-1/4″ Sahara Sand mat.

On Vanilla cardstock, I stamped 3 of the bold flower from the Beautiful Bunch stamp set using Soft Sky ink.  Over that, I stamped the flower overlay using Black Memento ink.  (Don’t worry if you don’t line these 2 stamps up exactly – you’re going to be punching them out!)

Punch out the flowers using the Fun Flower punch.  I added a bit of highlight around the center of each flower using the lid of my Soft Sky ink pad and a blender pen.  I also added a touch of Dazzling Diamond glitter to the center for that little bit of sparkle.

I wrapped a 6″ piece of Soft Sky Seam Binding ribbon above the Designer Paper and taped it to the back of the mat.  (The Soft Sky ribbon has been discontinued, but you can color a piece of the Whisper White ribbon by running it through your ink pad, pushing it down on the pad with a sponge.)

I glued down two of the petals, and then put the 3rd petal (the one in the center) on Dimensionals to give it a bit of height.

To finish the card, I stamped the “thanks” from Cottage Greetings onto a scrap of Vanilla cardstock and punched it out using the new Washi Tape punch.   (One of my favorite new purchases!)  I sponged the edges a bit with Soft Sky ink and then added it to my card with  Dimensionals.

Easy Peasy but a fun way to say thank you to someone special!
