Beautiful Butterfly Basics

Stampin-Up-Butterfly-Basics-bzbstamper

I am in love with the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Basics stamp set.   I think it’s the prefect set — you can use it for a collage, for a simple image focal point, and for anything in-between.

I had seen a card done on Pinterest but unfortunately didn’t save the image and had to go on memory.  (If this is your card design, please let me know so I can give you design credit!)

I wanted a very simplistic card that would make the focal image (in this case, flowers) pop.  So I started with a 4-1/4″ x 11″ piece of Basic Black cardstock and folded it in half. I then added a 2″ x 4″ piece of Subtle Background Designer Paper (Pink Pirouette).

I stamped the focal image on Whisper White cardstock and colored the image using ink pads & my trusty Aqua Painter.

I cut the image out with the Oval framelits, added some designer paper, ribbon and some teeny pearls and there you have it!   This card would work for so many occasions, I decided not to add a sentiment and just stamp one when I needed to use the card.

Another ridiculously easy card!
