It’s no secret that the Painted Petals Stamp Set is one of my favorite stamp sets from the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog. But when you combine it with the Painted Blooms Designer Paper, true cardmaking magic happens!
For this card, I used one of my favorite card sketches – a simple one that creates an easy focal point for your card.
For the Whisper White top ‘mat’, which measures 3-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, I first punch a hole in the top/center using my 2-1/2″ Circle Punch. Below that, I stamped the Watercolor Thank You stamp using Pacific Point ink. (A color I don’t use often enough!)
Once stamped, I ran this piece through the Big Shot, using the Lovely Lace Embossing Folder. I then flipped over the mat (so that the “thank you” was on top & facing the folded card), lined it up in the middle, and made a “tick” mark at the top of the circle with a pencil.
After removing the White mat, and using the “tick” mark as a guide, I stamped the stem in Garden Green ink, then the flowers in Pacific Point ink. (I usually stamp the flowers first but with this set, it’s just easier to stamp the stems first.)
To finish the card, I adhered the mat to the folded card base using Dimensionals. Easy peasy!
